RESIDENTIAL RATE SCHEDULE - R1

APPLICABILITY
This schedule is applicable to domestic uses such
as residential dwellings and accessory structures.
Three-phase service is not available under this rate
schedule unless it is to serve multifamily housing.
Multifamily structures created or subdivided after
January 1, 1993 must have separate meters for each
dwelling unit plus a house meter for any common use.
Groton Electric reserves the right to waive this requirement
if it decides that unusual circumstances warrant a
single meter.
Structures with mixed uses and having just one meter
serving both residential and business uses will be
billed on the commercial rate unless the use is a
home occupation, as defined by the Town of Groton
Zoning Bylaw, that either does not require a Special
Permit or requires a Special Permit only because the
use is in an accessory structure.
Groton Electric’s Terms and Conditions in effect,
and subject to change from time to time, where not
inconsistent with any specific provisions hereof,
are a part of this rate schedule as filed.
PAYMENT
Bills are considered due and payable when presented
for payment.
CHARGES
Bills for electrical service consist of Supplier
Services (Generation), and Delivery Services (Customer
Charge, Transition, Transmission, and Distribution)
charges as follows:
SUPPLIER SERVICES
Generation
0-500 kWh = $0.0612
>500 kWh = $0.0717
This charge may be adjusted periodically as described
in the “Definitions”section of these rate
schedules.
DELIVERY SERVICES
Customer Charge $6.25 (The Customer Charge is the
minimum monthly charge.)
Transition Charge $.03157/kWh plus or minus the Transition
Charge adjustment
Transmission Charge $.0088/kWh plus or minus the
Transmission Charge adjustment
Distribution Charge $.01842/kWh
DISCOUNT
A discount of $.0126 per kilowatt-hour will be allowed
for prompt payment if the bill is paid on or before
the discount expiration date as shown on the bill.
No discount shall be allowed when arrears are due
and unpaid. No discount is allowed on a Minimum Charge.
