PRIVATE YARD LIGHT RATE SCHEDULE

AVAILABILITY

This schedule is available to any customer of Groton Electric for the purpose of providing outdoor lighting for private property (Private Yard Light) providing no light is installed more than 150 feet from existing distribution lines or for lighting a streetlight that the Town of Groton has discontinued (Adopt-a-Light).

Groton Electric’s terms and conditions in effect and subject to change from time to time are considered a part of this rate schedule.

PAYMENT

All bills under this rate schedule shall be considered due and payable upon presentation for payment. The prompt-payment discount does not apply to these charges.

MONTHLY RATES

High Pressure Sodium

50 watt $ 4.75

100 watt $ 6.50

175 watt $ 8.75

250 watt $12.00

400 watt $17.75

$1.50 per month will be added to the above rates if Groton Electric must install a new pole.

Both replacements and new installations of lights will be High Pressure Sodium fixtures.

EASEMENTS

Permanent easements will be provided at no cost by the requesting party if Groton Electric requires an easement to install a new pole.

EQUIPMENT

All poles, wires, lamps, fixtures, and associated equipment will remain the property of Groton Electric who will furnish and maintain all said equipment.

HOURS OF OPERATION

All lights will be operated by a photo control device which will provide approximately 4,200 hours of operation per year. All repairs will be made by Groton Electric during normal working hours upon notification to them. No reduction in billing will be allowed for outages.
