In response to the Federal Identity Theft laws and GELD’s adoption of this policy, Groton Electric is required to verify the identity of all new customers. Please complete the “request for service” form below, print it, and return it in person to our office at 23 Station Ave., Groton, MA.

Also, please bring your current driver’s license or passport with you for verification – we will retain a copy for our records.

Deposits Required for All Renters

A sufficient deposit to secure payment for the electricity used during a three month period is required in advance from all renters. If such deposit is retained for a period longer than six months, interest (set by the General court of Massachusetts) will be credited annually to the customer’s account.
